Marcie Bour, President of Florida Business Valuation Group, has been involved with commercial cases involving breach of contract, fraudulent inducement, employment discrimination, shareholder disputes,patent infringement, trademark infringement, criminal matters and eminent domain. She has testified at deposition or trial in damage, shareholder dispute, usury and criminal sentencing cases. She also consults on valuation and other issues for divorce cases. Her valuation and litigation experience have covered a wide variety of industries including: health care, retailers, professional practices, Internet-based companies, wholesalers/distributors, travel, trucking, packaging, and fast food-franchises.
Ms. Bour serves on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Business Appraisers. She has also been active with NACVA, previously serving on its Executive Advisory Board and its Litigation Forensics Board. Ms. Bour is an instructor in the area of economic damages. She was the Team Leader for the development of NACVA’s workshop Business Losses and Claims, and is also an instructor for that workshop.
She has been a speaker at national and regional valuation conferences on lost profits damages. Ms. Bour speaks regularly on valuation and damage topics for local professional groups and associations.
She has two business valuation credentials, the ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) from the AICPA and the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) from NACVA. She also earned a BVAL (Business Valuator Accredited for Litigation) from the Institute of Business Appraisers. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst. Ms. Bour is active in a number of professional and appraisal organizations.
